Founder of PRANA/LIFE, Christie designed the studio's offerings to marry the energy-balancing properties of body work with yoga- and pilates- inspired personal training and group fitness instruction, helping guests achieve greater strength and flexibility of body, mind and spirit.  Her approach is unique to each guest and layers in movement medicine alongside body work, meditation and cutting edge technologies including infrared and full-spectrum CBD, to support your goals and help you feel your best.

Christie is Balanced Body-trained by Master Pilates Instructor Ahme Bovee in Reformer 1, 2, & 3 and Mat Pilates, is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and a seasoned massage therapist certified in pre- and post-natal massage and massage for female fertility support.  She also is attuned as a level 3 reiki master, has received certification as an infant massage instructor, and has trained through DONA as a postpartum doula.  She plays crystal sound bowls, has a longstanding meditation practice and offers weekly meditation to the community as a donation-based class currently Fridays at 11:40.

A resident of the area since 2020 (and before that a lifelong visitor), Christie focused on serving this community through her private practice, Mother Nurture (founded in Chicago in 2016), until opening  PRANA/LIFE STUDIO in September, 2023.

Liz joined the PRANA/LIFE team in Fall 2023 and has been offering Reformer group instruction on Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings, and for "pop up" group classes on select weekends.  She is a career fitness instructor and massage therapist, practicing in wellness for over two decades.  Bringing in-depth experience to her instruction, Liz has an eagle eye for alignment and offers skillful assists and adjusts throughout her classes.

Liz is a STOTT Pilates-certified pilates instructor, as well as a yoga instructor and licensed massage therapist. She has trained at Elements In Motion and SOMA Massage School in Chicago.  Liz loves the constant learning involved in her work and regularly observes other instructors and teaching styles to incorporate into her offerings.  A native of the Chicago 'burbs, she currently splits her time between Chicago and the New Buffalo area.

PRANA/LIFE STUDIO welcomed Jill to the team in Fall 2023.  Jill currently offers Vinyasa Yoga on Thursday evenings. She is a certified 200-hr yoga instructor, and a New Jersey native who has spent time traveling all across America before recently settling in Three Oaks, where she works at Granor Farm, including teaching kids' yoga there.

Teaching yoga came organically to Jill, who first began practicing yoga as a teenager seeking to complement and enhance her performance as a competitive skier.  At that time she first realized the profound emotional and physical benefits of a regular practice, and she now brings that wealth of personal experience to her weekly offering, as well as her boundless warmth and positive energy.

Mara, an alum of CorePower Yoga, brings a wealth of experience to her teaching. Having completed CPY’s 200-hour teacher training for Yoga Sculpt, C1, and Hot Power Fusion, she previously taught yoga sculpt in Chicago. But her journey didn’t stop there—Mara’s connection to the Southwest Michigan area led her to relocate there full-time in fall 2023. She joined forces with the PRANA/LIFE team, infusing her passion for yoga and strength training into her teaching.

Beyond the mat, Mara wears another hat: she’s a licensed real estate broker in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. Recently, she became part of the Dawn McKenna Group (DMG), a leading real estate team nationally and the #1 large team in the Midwest.

Mara’s teaching philosophy centers around inspiring and empowering spiritual and physical balance in everyday life. She believes that life, love, and laughter are the essential ingredients for making each day special. Now, in her new community, she seeks to engage, inspire, and connect through the positive impact of her yoga practice. When she’s not on the mat, you’ll find Mara enjoying cycling, golf, tennis, and quality time with family and friends.

Join Mara for Yoga Sculpt at PRANA/LIFE on Monday and Friday mornings, with weekend pop-up classes as available. ‍️

Spencer is a Michigander who grew up playing sports and loving movement.  After college she lived in Europe where she worked with strength trainers in a variety of locations.  Eventually she discovered a trainer in Chicago who became a true mentor and inspired her to become a fitness professional.  This trainer was someone who encouraged her to lift heavier, swing stronger and to do things she didn’t think she could.  Spencer seeks to similarly help others become their strongest and most powerful selves.  She has received her personal trainer certification from National Academy of Sports Medicine and her spinning instructor certification from Maddog Athletics.  She is also attuned as a level 2 reiki practitioner and plays crystal sound bowls.

Spencer is excited to bring high intensity training to PRANA/LIFE STUDIO's group class offerings, and to deepen her intuitive-healing practice through monthly sound baths within this community.

Abby is Balanced Body Pilates-trained by Master Instructor Ahme Bovee, and holds certificates for Reformer 1 & Reformer 2 instruction.  She was raised in New Buffalo, Michigan, where she grew up playing competitive tennis.  After graduating college she moved to Hawaii where her love affair with Pilates began.  That discovery reshaped her perspective on fitness and well-being as she realized first-hand the power of a regular Pilates practice to sculpt the body, as well as nurture mental clarity and build resilience.

Back in the Midwest and after continued practice in different styles of Pilates at different studios across the country, Abby's deepening appreciation for the holistic benefits of Pilates led her to pursue instructor training, and begin teaching reformer Pilates at PRANA/LIFE STUDIO.  She looks forward to bringing a fun yet challenging environment to each class she teaches, leaving you feeling your very best.

Join Abby for group reformer classes Saturdays at 8:15AM, Sundays at 9:30 AM, Mondays at 6PM and Wednesdays at 8AM.
