GET TO KNOW OUR STUDIO
Answers to FAQs
I'm new to the studio.
How do I get started?
The best and most personalized way to acclimate yourself to our offerings is through a private training session. Each private training is tailored to your exact needs, goals and pace, and may be focused on reformer, rebounder, mat work or any combination. It allows us to get to know your needs and offer modifications that you may bring to group classes and allows for individualized attention to form and alignment to help ensure you're getting full benefit from the work.
Because we so believe in the benefits of one-on-one coaching, we offer a new student intro package of ONE private training session plus TWO group classes for $139 (a savings of $70), open to any guest who has not yet taken private lessons with us.
Can I start with a group class?
Yes - if you are in good condition and prefer to jump right into group classes. For reformer, our Foundations classes are the place to start. We strongly recommend a minimum of five Reformer Foundations classes (or instructor approval) before guests new to reformer move into our mixed level group Reformer classes, which assume some experience, knowledge of the exercises and safety protocols.

Please refer to our class descriptions for information on yoga and mat class offerings. Please call us with any questions!
I have a group and I'd like to create a private class, retreat or spa day.
Great- that’s our specialty! Please take a look at our privates/groups page for more information and email us at info@pranalifestudio.com with what you’re looking for. We can also help create an itinerary for your group to enjoy multiple of our offerings for a retreat or special occasion. We can host you in the studio or travel to your location.
What do I bring?
Socks are required in reformer class, otherwise we are a shoes-off studio. If you need shoes due to an injury or condition, we are happy to make an exception.
We sell grip socks at the studio and usually have a couple pairs available to borrow.
You can borrow a Jade Yoga mat free of charge for yoga and all mat classes.
For our heated classes, bring a water bottle (we have a filling station) and a towel or yogitoes grip mat. We have small towels available as a courtesy and larger towels available for rent.
How often should I take a class?
More than frequency, consistency is the key! We recommend one to three+ classes per week. Many find three sessions per week is when they started to be able to feel and see dramatic changes in their body. Once a week can be a good place to start and/or use pilates and yoga as cross training to strengthen your alignment and enhance performance in other forms of fitness.

What is the benefit of a private training session vs. group class?
In addition to being the ideal way to begin your journey with our equipment and studio offerings, continued private sessions are a great fit for those who love one-on-one coaching, have a specific fitness goal, or who have a low back or other condition that may require special attention or modifications. It is also highly beneficial as an occasional complement to regular participation in group classes, to ensure you're getting the most benefit out of the exercises, or simply where personal attention is valued to create a tailored workout just for you.
Can I walk-in for class or drop by for any other reason?
Online reservations are required as all class sizes are limited. Registration closes 30 minutes before class. Please complete the waiver form you'll receive upon your first registration prior to arriving at the studio.

To ensure we have a staff member available to assist you, we do require advance notice for appointments and all other in-person inquiries. Please call or email us at the studio to set up a time. Our studio door remains closed when we are in-session with guests.
How is tipping handled for spa services?
For your convenience a standard 20% gratuity will be added to your bill upon completion of any bodywork service for your massage therapist. All major credit cards are accepted.
When should I arrive? What if I'm running late?
Please plan to arrive no more than ten minutes early. In general our doors open ten minutes prior to class and appointment times for guests to check in and get comfortable. The studio door is closed while we are in-session with other guests.

Group classes begin promptly and we regret that we cannot guarantee accommodation to guests arriving late. We must lock the front door for certain group classes to ensure a safe and uninterrupted experience for those in attendance and in addition your spot may be released to a guest waiting stand-by.
How do I cancel and what happens if I can't make it?
We offer a flexible cancellation policy for studio credit up until 24 hours before a booking. You may use our mobile app, Spaces by Wix (join"pranalifestudio"), or contact the studio, to reschedule or cancel any booking. If you need to cancel less than 24 hours before your booking please email us at info@pranalifestudio.com.
We regret that cancellations received with less than 24 hours notice are forfeited. If you booked the class with a discounted monthly pass there is an additional $10 fee as specified at the time of purchase.
We thank you for understanding the studio's cancellation policies must apply in all cases to sustain small group classes in our location. On-location private services are subject to the cancellation parameters provided on booking. For spa appointments a $50 rebooking fee will apply.
